Lanzarote remains open for business and continues to look for solutions for tourists to travel safely to the island. Along with the other Canary islands, hoteliers have come together to form a united front and are in talks with regional and national authorities to set up a quick and effiecient testing system to entice tourists back to the islands. The UK blanket ban on visitors to Spain has affected the Spanish islands considerably. A PCR test is a quick and cheap option for them to use and safe as it is used widely in laboraty testing. Results could be given in as little as minutes. They are hoping for approval by the 28th September
