Arrecife will not celebrate its traditional San Ginés festivities this year.Normaly the fiesta is a big event with a fun fair, music and shows that last over a period of 2 weeks. Due to the coronavirus none of the celebrations can take place. The fiesta derives like many , from a religious connectio. This year, to remember the festival of the patron saint of the capital, a testimonial will be read. This will take place on 24th August 2020 and will be read by Benjamín Nieves Delgado. In addition there will be a Mass of the Patron, at 12.00 which will be broadcast on local television.
