The 29th edition of the Canarias Jazz & Más Festival will take place in Lanzarote with the inclusion of La Graciosa. Its been a difficult year due to the pandemic and has meant that many of the artists have had to be resheduled from the original programme. The organisation of Canaries Jazz has however reafirmed its commitment for live music incorporating international, national and local artists. The new normality means that there will be some changes with sanitary security measures both for our public and for the musicians. The festival is due to take place between 31st July and 15th August which will consist of almost forty concerts. There will be open air and closed spaces used for the concerts taking place across all of the islands. In the closed spaces (theater, auditoriums, halls), the festival will apply the sanitary protocols that are already in force and in operation since the de-escalation process of the pandemic began. In the outdoor venues, the organizers are already working to guarantee security measures, which will involve closing spaces to limit the capacity. The concerts will be free, but an attendance control will be set up for which a previous registration will be necessary. The festival will apply all the recommendations and established rules, in coordination with the health authorities, among which are social distancing measures, as well as the mandatory use of masks, hydroalcoholic gel and disinfection of common areas.
