In tribute to the health service during these difficult times, the local police, civil protection officers, fire brigade and Red Cross staged a procession through the streets of Puerto del Carmen sounding their sirens in recognition of the important work that they are doing for us all.
The procession began at 7:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Varadero in the old town of Puerto del Carmen and touring around the resort ending in the village of Tías at the Health Center.There were about twenty vehicles of the Local Police of Tías, Civil Guard, Civil Protection, Voluntary Firefighters, Red Cross and Ambulances SIA Lanzarote with their lights flashing and sirens switched on in to give thanks from the entire population .
