The many natural scenes created by the artist Cesar Manrique in the cultural centres are put too good use during the festival Escena Lanzarote (Lanzarote scenes). The connection between art and nature plays a significant part when offering artists the opportunity to create works that fuse with the natural environment of the island. The interpretation covers many areas within the artistic world and will include opera, dance, theatre, cabaret and circus performances. The creative and artistic interpretations have been organised in a way where there are no language barriers and the performances can be understood by all. In total four venues will host the events. The Auditoriums of Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes (otherwise known as the Green Caves), the Peasants House-Museum and the International Museum of Contemporary Art.
