The City Council of Haría has decided to work towards recovering one of the municipals landmarks known as the Mirador de Haria which is one of the highest points on the island measuring 620m above sea level. Designed by Cesar Manrique this unique building is located in the curves of Malpaso, with the most amazing views over the north of Lanzarote and specifically Temisa and the Haría Valley. The building has fallen into a state of disrepair and has been abandoned for over 20 years.The council are aiming to promote ecological tourism in north adding a center for interpretation of  wildlife.
