A project for bring more Eco energy to Lanzarote has gained momentum this week with a proposal to install four Enercon wind turbines in Arrecife. This will help with the infrastructure and produce 9.2 megawatts of total power injeting more natural energy to the general electricity grid. The deadline is very close as the windmills are planned to be in action by 2020. There will be 4 turbines in total and the total investment is budgeted for more than 11 million euros. The Arrecife wind farm is a project has a purpose to aid low-carbon emissions and is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and managed by the IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving).
