Have you ever been looking at flights and noticed that when you see one you like when you go back again to look the price has increased? Well, here is a tip to keep your search anonymous and keep those prices down. The airlines use cookies to identify when a particular route is being repeated when you search for a flight. Its a scare tactic to make you book when you see the prices increasing! To avoid this you can use the incognito browser so that your search cannot be identified by them and for sure you will be able to browse the lowest prices.

In Google Chrome or Safari, incognito is enabled by hitting Command (or “Control” if using PC), Shift, “N”. For Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, hit Command (or “Control” if using a PC), Shift, “P”. This will open a new browser window where your information is not tracked, thus not inflating prices as you search. Note: if you’re using an older version of OS X, open Safari then click “Safari” in the menu bar, and select “Private Browsing”.

Everytime you browse incognito your cookies will reset. Be sure to open a new incognito browser everytime you search
