Exploring the island and off the beaten track, you can find a white sandy beach situated in the north. Just before you rh the village of Orzola on the northen tip of Lanzarote you will pass some pretty impressive landscapes. Orzola is best know for catching the ferry across nto the island of Graciosa but if you dont make it that far, then Charca de la Laja is a good place to stop to enjoy the sunshine. This unusual beach surrounds a shallow lagoon which make the water a little warmer on a hot day than the sea. Dotted around  the white powdery sand are bunkers to protect yourself from the wind. There are no restaurants or bars close by so you will need to make sure you have a picnic or at least plenty of water with you
