There has not been any text in history from the first century up until 1339 that speaks of the islands Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. The first map where the islands are shown is dated back to 1339 where the islands are shown in the Atlantic Ocean. The Italian anthroplogist Quartapelle drwn to the islands by its discovery on these maps compiled the most extensive bibliography on the Canary Islands which compliment 250 texts until the year 1700. A rediscovery was made in 1341 by Giovanni Boccaccio listing the Canary Islands as the newly discovered islands.
