The small village of Tenesar is situated on the north coast of the island. Known as the lost village you do not really hear it mentioned or any reference made to it. During the volcanic eruptions it just about survived but became completely cut off. In recent years it has become accesible and after being deserted some of the houses are now occupied. The silence is noticible and the settlement is a flash back in time to what life was like before tourism arrived on the island.
