In Puerto del Carmen this weekend a group of 60 locals with various disabilities visited to fulfill onr of the dreams of their lives. It was a baptism in scuba diving and took place at the small cove of Playa Chica which is well known for diving. These people had come from Lanzarote and Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.

The majority of elderly people with disabilities enjoyed the whole day where the Tías City Council set up special tents and amphibious chairs on the beach.The initiative, was promoted from the Christian Fraternity of Persons with Disabilities in the Canary Islands and had the collaboration and support of the City Council, the members of the Club of Underwater Activities Lanzarote and volunteers.

The deputy mayor and councilor for Culture and Tourism of the City of Tías, Amado Vizcaíno, “was present during the day and offered his help as a diver, accompanying these people in their dives
