As one of the most promoted and encouraged forms of travel around the world, its no wonder especially in Lanzarote where they have invested in creating bicycle lanes around the coastline that a bike festival should take place. Yesterday over 400 participated of ages decorating their bikes and if you did not have one, there were rental bikes available.
The return route started from Parque Islas Canarias in Arrecife and headed towards the hospital. The mayor of Arrecife took part to help spread the message of having urban areas with clean air.
This successful event has given insight in to more forthcoming events to help raise awareness about the advantages of using this transport in the city
