Situated in the main shopping avenue (Leon Castillo) in Arrecife is a majestic looking house of ecletic architecture that looks a bit out of place with all the local shops and store surrounding it. Built in the 1920s, this was once the cities council office but has now been retsored. This is now a Data Centre and the place where the history of Lanzarote is kept safe. If you are curious about the changes that have been made on the island over the years, this is the place to take a step back in time and see the differences. Lanzarote in reality has taken a rapid step forward in just 30 years and continues to grow.
Along with the past there are constant exhibitions of art and culture. The ground floor is dedicated to displays and exhibitions and the first floor is now for data and administrative use
