All over the world people take inspiration from different experiences and places, so I suppose its not out of the question that someone has written a book later to be made into a film about Lanzarote.
Mararia is a novel by Rafael Arozarena about a mysterious women called Maria from the small mountain village of Femes overlooking Playa Blanca. As young women she has a colourful love life which turns out below her expectations, later to be told to a stranger who arrives on the island many years later.
