Virtually every village in Lanzarote has a social centre called a Teleclub. If you are travelling around the island you can always look out for these social centres as an alternative place to snack or dine.
Traditionally these centres were social centres where years gone by, people used to go to watch the TV if they didn’t have one in the house. The clubs depending on the village can offer a variety of activities for the locals , like canarian bowles, libraries, football, topical evenings and talks.
The main reason that you may find them interesting is because they have a great reputation for offering cheap quality traditional dishes, They are good rest stops as you are touring the island.
Everybody is welcome to eat or snack. You do not have to be a resident of the village or island, so keep a look out for these as you are travelling around.
