Ikea are celebrating their 20th anniversary in Lanzarote this Saturday 20th December 2025. There will be lot’s of activities and things happening for all ages to enjoy to celebrate the special day.
Two decades after its arrival in Lanzarote, IKEA wants to thank the trust of thousands of local families. The little ones will be able to enjoy a puppet theater inspired by the SANDLÖPARE plush toys on Friday the 19th, starting at 6:30 PM, serving as a prelude to the big party. The afternoon will also offer a very special proposal: a space where visitors who have made purchases over 50 euros can take home their own IKEA mug personalized by a lettering specialist, as a unique keepsake of the anniversary. Another of the most exciting moments on Friday will come with the drawing of the ‘Fill your FRAKTA bag’ contest, in which the three winners will have two minutes to fill it with IKEA items and take them home.
On Saturday the 20th, the store will be transformed into a fully Christmas-themed setting. The celebrations will kick off with live music in two sessions — from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM — which will accompany the festive atmosphere throughout the day. In addition, there will be Christmas face-painting workshops both in the morning and in the afternoon. And, starting at 4:00 PM, one of the most anticipated moments will take place: the arrival of Santa Claus, who will roam the store with his Elf and the beloved teddy bear Fabler Björn to greet and take photos with families. Creativity will also play a prominent role: everyone who makes purchases over 50 euros will receive a blue FRAKTA bag personalized by a lettering specialist as a gift. Additionally, those who reach that amount will have the chance to test their luck at the IKEA Prize Wheel, with the possibility of winning fantastic gifts.
Also, all purchases made with IKEA Family at IKEA Lanzarote between December 15 and 21 will automatically enter a draw, the prize of which consists of a refund of the total amount of one of the purchases made during that period, up to a maximum of 2,000 euros.
