40% of the Olympic class World Cups that are going to be held in 2023 have chosen the port of Marina Rubicón in Lanzarote as their venue. In the next three months Playa Blanca will host the closing of the Olympic flying windfurfing season, as well as the fourth edition of the Lanzarote International Regatta, which includes the IQFOil world championships, men’s and women’s, 49er and 49erFX. Lanzarote is serving as a base for sailing sport training according to pre Olympic social networks. Marina Rubicón has been selected by a group of sailors and coaches preparing for the Olympic Games for 2024. The good weather as well as the wind on the island is crucial for sailing.
