A J/80 sailboat is an American trailerable boat designed by Rod Johnstone as a racer. It was first built in 1992.The activity premiered on the 18th of the Winter Series. The calendar has six relevant dates. The four finals, in the first months of 2024. The aim is to have a greater fleet presence, with ships from other parts of the Canary Islands. It is also possible that a crew comes from peninsular territory. The new competitive modality replaces the insular league, with a calendar that began in January and ended at the beginning of the summer period.t is worth mentioning that the J80 competition has been in force for years, with a notable level of daily participation, through bases established in the sports docks of Arrecife (Marina Lanzarote) and the municipality of Yaiza (Puerto Calero, Marina Rubicón).
