Anyone lucky enough to be spending New Years Eve in Lanzarote will need to know about this Spanish tradition. You may even find that if you have booked into a local restaurant on the 31st, you will be given a little bag of 12 grapes.
What you need to do is when the clock chimes 12 times on the stroke of midnight, you must eat a grape in time with each ring of the bell.
The goal is to finish all your grapes before the chimes finish ringing, something that’s easier said than done. If you manage to do this, you will have a lucky year ahead!
