The islands summer fiesta continue and the next one is probably one of the biggest and most popular. Los Dolores is the patron saint of the island and every September the fiestas in honour of her are held in Tinajo.
The religious events start on the 1st September and will continue over the coming weeks when all the localities of the island will participate.
The offerings to the virgin will be made on Saturday 9th September when people take flowers to the church and there will be a religious ceremony.
The fiesta events will have things for all ages and the musical acts will be one of the main attractions. The year the famous singer Juanes will be performing a concert on the 16th September and this will be sure to bring in the crowds from all over the island.
