Lineas Romeros is a local family run passenger ferry business which has been connecting the most eastern of the Canary Islands since 1930.
The company started when Joreg M. Toledo founded Lineas Romero providing a sea mail service between Lanzarote and La Graciosa. In the very beginning this was just a simple rowboat that ra between the islands.
The vessel was inherited by the daughter of Jorge M. Toledo who later married Juan Romero.
In 1970 Juan Romero took over the reins and expanded the company’s services. Juan headed the company until 1985 when his four children then inheritted the business and who are still at the forefront of Lineas Romero. All four still live on the small island of La Graciosa, loving the unspoilt , untamed landscape and are dedicated to protecting the island, keeping its natural environment intact.
Lineas Romeros have regular ferries between Lanzarote and La Graciosa as well as Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. They also have a water taxi that runs between the resort of Puerto del Carmen and the marina at Puerto Calero.
