Lanzarote is becoming well known for a selection of quality wines and the Lanzarote winery has recently been evaluated by the Peñín Wines of Spain Guide 2022. In this assessment it has obtained 90 and 92 points for its Malvasía Lías 2019 and Moscatel de Ana wines, respectively. This prestigious guide has a history of more than 30 years carrying out an annual tasting of more than 11,500 wines, in which the maximum score is 99 points. El Grifo is the oldest winery in the Canaries and among the ten oldest in Spain. Some of the grapevines are from the 19th century, which ripen on the mountainside and are hand-picked one by one.
