The Sunday market of La Villa de Teguise registered this Sunday the highest number of visitors since the start of the pandemic, which exceeded 10,000 people. The market since it rteopened has become smaller and concentrated in one area. There are no stalls meandering through the streets now. The shops in the village open and you can still take a wander through the streets and take advantage of the bars and restaraunts that remain open. The square where the stalls are is monitored with hand sanitizer being handed out on entry. This can sometimes lead to a queue but worth the wait as there is still a good variety of buys and some interesting craft stalls that maybe you would not see anywhere else.
