Teguise joins 250 cities from 30 countries that will make the Xacobeo 2021 world carpet
The Plaza de Los Leones in Teguise will feature a design by Miguel Ángel Laguna to commemorate the great day of Santiago Apóstol. From this Saturday, July 24, Teguise will begin with the elaboration of a very special salt carpet which will also be carried out simultaneously in 30 countries around the world so that on Sunday, July 25, town squares around the world will wake up with the same design of tapestry.
This is one of the great projects prepared for the Holy Year in which more than 250 municipalities from cities in Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, France, the United States, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, will participate. Honduras, Hungary, India, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Paraguay, Poland, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Tunisia, Venezuela and Spain.
