From the comfort of your own home you can now take time to enjoy one of the largest collections of abstract art from the second half of the 20th century in the Canaries. The Castillo de San José in Arrecife is opening its doors virtually inviting people to discover the artistic and architectural work of the International Museum of Contemporary Art. Access will give you a 3D view of the facades and the views of the bay of Naos from the roof of the fortress. Also included a chance to see the art collection which includes works by artists such as Pancho Lasso, Manolo Millares, Juan Hidalgo, Pepe Dámaso, Tapies, Mompó, Zöbel and César Manrique. This old fortress which dates back to the 18th century was transformed by the Lanzarote artist Cesar Manrique and houses some of the most significant works of the modern artistic world.
