The project to create a park for the locals and tourists that was halted at the end of 2019 is due to re start after a technical review. Situated in the centre of tow the park will have sports courts and areas for walking and recreation and will feature changing rooms, toilets, a kiosk bar, shaded areas, gardens, walking and running path and exercise machines. over a 58,000 square meter plot. They are also hoping to include a sports pavilion and 25 meter long pool which is an annexe to the project. The park will be situated in the tourist town of Playa Blanca on a strip of land, 650 meters in length located between Avenida de Canarias, close to the port and Avenida Faro Pechiguera where the school.is located. The financing of the Atlantic Park is possible thanks to the agreement signed last October by the Ministry of Tourism and the Yaiza City Council that donates 2.9 million euros for rehabilitation works of tourist spaces and infrastructure.
