The World Travel Market held every year in London is one of the most anticipated events in the travel industry. The exhibition is attended by companies in all sectors of travel from all over the world who set up stands and arrange meetings to promote their business. The Canaries and the island of Lanzarote have their own exhibition and this week the President of the Canary Islands Government, Ángel Víctor Torres, visited the island’s stand accompanied by the Minister of theTourism, Industry and Commerce to consolidate the current volume of British tourists who choose Lanzarote promoting a strategy that prioritizes quality tourism with an agenda which includes more than 20 professional meetings with tour operators, airlines and OTAs (online travel agencies). In addition Lanzarote is the only island this year which is using technology to present its stand in a digitalised way. This will be the 40th edition of the World Travel Market Fair in London which is considered one of the three most important in the world together with Fitur exhibition in Madrid and ITB in Berlin.
