Lanzarote has a number of sculptures around the island. Most people by now have heard of the underwater museum which arrived this year mentioned in our earlier blog post in March. We are definitely not short of cultural exhibitions or art museums so here’s another one for you.
In Arrecife close to Costa Teguise and easy reachable from Puerto del Carmen stands the The Castle of San Jose open to the public with its contemporary art gallery and restaurant which overlooks the sea and port.
Recently added an interesting installation by a British sculpture Jason D’Caires shipped over from the river Thames, these sculptures have been place in the sea tucked away behind the castle.
A good photo opportunity, coffee sport or chance to taste some of the more traditional Canarian dishes prepared in the style of fine dining.
