Friday 14th March 2025 will see the celebration of the Traditional Carnaval celebrated every year in the village of Teguise. Unlike the glamorous carnaval parades taking place in other villages and resorts, Traditional Carnaval concentrates on the history and tradition highlighting the authentic roots. Taking prominent place will be the Diabletes of Teguise recognisable by their red and black painted costumes and rams hors which are worn on their heads. There will be a theatrical performance by Las Burras de Güímar which will take the audience on a journey through legends and popular traditions and to finish a verbena with music and dancing. This is a Carnaval very simular to the ones celebrated in the South of Spain unlike the others that take place and have more of a South American and caribean influence. The evening will start at 20.30 in the main square of the village of Teguise
