There are always places to discover on the island of Lanzarote. If you have been to the National Park of Fire Mountain, you will know that you are not allowed to walk around the area by foot. One way to get the feel of the volcanic landscape is to take a walk around the trail at the foot of Montaña Colorada. This extinct volcano has scenery and views which are unique. The route is just 2.97 miles great for a stroll with information boards dotted around the trail with explanations over the formation and history of the volcano. You will be able to see a back drop of the National Park in the distance giving some great photo opportunities. The mountain can be reached by the LZ-56 and there is parking.
