Tomorrow is a long awaited day for Playa Blanca residents and holiday makers staying in the resort. Lidl are finally opening their 5th shop on the island in Playa Blanca on Friday 29th November at 08.30am.
Residents of Playa Blanca have been asking for a large supermarket to open in the resort for years and it’s finally happening.
The new Lidl supermarket is located in the industrial area of Montana Roja which is on the right as you enter into Playa Blanca. Managing the store will be a team of about 40 employees of the company, 30 of them newly created positions. In total, Lidl has a workforce in Lanzarote that already exceeds 200 people including store, warehouse and office staff.
