The prestigious Australian travel guide called Lonely Planet has asked its readers to choose the most beautiful beaches in Spain. Its no real surprise that the guides readers have selected some beaches from Lanzarote in the south of the island called Papagayo. The publication highlights the beaches good conservation, golden and virgin sands which are sheltered from the trade winds. Special attention is given to the fact that it is not just one beach, but several, all of them with golden sand and surrounded by gigantic cliffs, at the foot of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument. These beaches are very photogenic and their turquoise waters are a focus for Instagrammers and photogrophers. The golden sands of the neighboring island of Fuerteventura and the islet of Lobos can be seen from this point.
