A solar powered charger has been erected on the avenue close to the beach of Las Cucharas in Costa Teguise. This will allow the public to recharge their mobile devices free of charge withouth having to return to their holiday accommodation when soaking up the sun on the beach. The new totem complies with the principles of sustainability, energy independence and zero emissions and has been recognised as a highly demanded service for both by residents and tourists who visit Costa Teguise. Its an added service for the Las Cucharas beach which is aiming to be a winning area and unique outdoor space in Lanzarote, equipped with all the comforts and guarantees to practice sports, walk, visit restaurants and take part in the nautical activities. Thanks to agreement between the Canarian Foundation Museum of Science and Technology of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Teguise City Council, this new exterior element which has been installed, mainly for tourists has been donated at zero cost.
