Bodegas Martinón has been awarded a Gold Medal in the National Contest of Small Denominations of Origin Wines held in Madrid days ago. The contest has recognized with this award and an assessment of 91 points the quality of the reference Blanco Seco 100% Malvasía of this winery. The Aula Española del Vino de Madrid hosted on July 2 the 5th edition of the Pequeñas D.O.’s National Wine Competition. Due to the high quality of the participating wines, a total of 25 medals were awarded from the contest: 3 Grand Golds and 22 Gold Medals. The Regulatory Council has issued a note in which it congratulates this winery for this recognition. Undoubtedly, despite being a small Denomination of Origin, the good work of wine growers and winemakers in Lanzarote is making us stand out nationally and internationally among much larger wine regions.
