Lanzarote Council has held over 20 meetings with major tour operators to promote its strategy for the summer season of safe sustainable tourism for the island. A delegation of officials have taken part in Fitur 2021 which one of the most important tourism fairs in the world. the goal is to promote the best of Lanzarote in order to attract and support the reactivation of one the islands essential markets and promote the new safety measure which are now necesary due to the global pandemic. There will be a strong emphasis on the national market and the connections to mainland Spain as the international market is relient on external restrictions.
The representatives of Turismo Lanzarote are also planning a series of meetings with the directors of the OETs that Turespaña has in Los Angeles, Brussels, Miami, New York and The Hague.
