A fourth wind farm is under construction in Lanzarote which will be situated at Montana Mina close to where the Teguise wind farm is located. The giant turbines arrived on Thursday ready for the construction. The new park will be the second largest on the island and will produce 9.2 MW. The turbines arrived by boat and due to their size created a spectacle as the ship docked in Los Marmoles in Arrecife. The installation is expected to be carried out in a few months and enter into the testing phase immediately with the aim of making this new park operational at the start of next year. Its annual production capacity is will be close to 28,605 megawatts. The four new wind turbines will have a hub height of 85 meters and a rotor diameter of 71 meters, to reach a height of 120 meters.
