After so many years there is not much evidence in everyday life that many changes have been made however Lanzarote is slowly installing rechargeable points around the island for electric cars.
There are 3 on the island, all positioned on public roads enabling you to recharge your car any weekend without any time restrictions. The charging takes just 15 minutes and is done with 100% renewable energy. The first refills are free and funded by the Lanzarote council.
The idea is to encourage more of this type of vehicle on the island which obviously means that people will need the tools to make the change.
