The most popular market in Lanzarote reopened it’s doors on Sunday 8th November with a strict new protocol of health and hygiene. The Teguise Townhall have said the day was very successful and more than 2900 people visited the market stalls.
The mayor of Teguise has thanked everyone that has made the reopening possible including the Emergency Services and says that although there are still improvements to be made to comply with the strict Covid regulations, the new safety restrictions paid off. There are now just two entrances into the market and both have a temperature control monitor plus the importance of cleaning hands with the alcoholic gel and also a priority access for the over 65 year olds.
It goes without saying that everyone must wear a mask and social distancing should be respected at all times.
An important day for the Historic streets of Teguise as they could once again see a fruitful and happy Sunday and the market stall holders and owners of the normally busy bars and restaurants could meet with their expectations.
