A number of restoration projects were discussed last year as a result of workshop of experts organised by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands. The idea was to highlight the conservation problems associated habitats of the islands. As a result scientists, researchers and managers from different institutions and administrations debated and agreed on the main actions to be carried out to be developed on the island of Lanzarote in order to slow down the processes of climate change. Work will include putting into practice the different methodologies  and experiments that allow further development of habitat restoration work on the Famara summit. The work must be completed on December 15, 2022 within the framework of the development of the operational program of the Canary Islands region for the application of the European Regional Development Fund. Its ntended to ensure the availability of plant material to successfully tackle the revegetation work of both the experimental plot along with other areas re planting cuttings and seeds to cover El Risco in Famara.
