The Tias Town Hall are due to finish shortly the work they have carried out at the Playa Grande Beach in Puerto del Carmen.
The planned improvements to build an impressive 90 metre breakwater wall started at the beginning of August and work has also been carried out on the reconstruccion of the access steps and a ramp to make the beach accessible for all and improve the safety aspects.
Permission for such work was supposed to be carried out back in 2017 however when Storm Emma damaged part of the wall, the contractors pulled out due to additional costs and there was then a subsequent delay.
The work is said to have cost around 201.792 Euros.
