One of the less documented places to visit on the island of Lanzarote is the Casa de la Cultura Benito Perez Armas. The house is an original example of the islands traditional architecture built around a court yard and to this day has been very well maintained. Benito Perez Armas was a well known writer born in Yaiza, Lanzarote in 1871 who later went on to become a politician. as well as a library and conference centre the building is also a host to art exhibitions. This week the house will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, in the morning and on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. An exhibition by the artist Sonia Bordon can be viewed until 07th August 2020
