The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, has announced that the restaurants of the Castillo de San José and the Casa Museo del Campesino will open their doors to the public on May 25, coinciding with phase 2 of the de-escalation plan established by the Government , „as long as the expected results are obtained in the previous stages“.
„Within the general objective of recovering normality, the opening of some of the Centers‘ restaurants is a special satisfaction. We are going to offer our people the opportunity to enjoy two emblematic places on their first outings after confinement,“ he said. Corujo.
In order to make this opening. the Centers have implemented a „strict“ safety and hygiene protocol to guarantee that the emblematic restaurants created by César Manrique are Covid-19 free spaces. Among the measures adopted are the recommendation to make a previous table reservation to stagger the arrival of clients; taking body temperature to clients and workers, who will wear safety masks; the reduction to a third of the capacity of both restaurants and the consequent extension of the safety distance between the tables.
Likewise, customers will have tablets to know the cards or download them using QR codes in a hygienic and safe way. „We have adapted the operation so that customers can continue enjoying our gastronomic proposal in a safe environment and, at the same time, guarantee the best hygienic and sanitary conditions for our professionals,“ explains the entity’s CEO, Benjamin Perdomo, who he points out that „these protection measures will be adapted to the stages of unconfinement.“
