The UK visitors have influence the figures for the tourists arriving in Lanzarote for 2019. The amount of Brits and Irish arriving helped beat 2018 figures amounting to over 56% of arrivals for 2019 compensating for the fall in German and Nordic tourists whose numbers have fallen. It appears that lanzarote has been oblivious to the possible consequences of Brexit. As the UK has only just left the European Union and there are still many decisions to be made it will be interesting to see how the figures for 2020 will finish. At the moment airlines have considerably high prices travelling to the island which is not helping.
