Celebrations for San Juan (the longest day of the year) have taken a different format this year in Puerto del Carmen. The council has organised over 12 hours of entertainment in the aim of restoring the family tradition to the fiesta. On Saturday there will be beach activities for the enjoyment of the whole family. The eve of San Juan will conclude at La Tiñosa with a large popular sardine barbecue, the great sanjuanera bonfire and the night of partying with the performances El Golpito and Pal’porrón on the esplanade next to Playa Chica.
