An estimated 180,000 could possibly arrive on the Canary Islands. The Tourist Board has been in contact with the airlines to ask them to submit their offers for some new routes to the islands. These include Vienna, Lyons,Naples and Lisbon from Lanzarote. Gran Canaria will be looking at arrivals and depatures to New York and Moscow. This is not only great news for tourism but also for residents who can travel to these destinations direct rather than having to board a flight to Madrid first
