There are blue flags on many of the beaches in Lanzarote. These blue flags certify that the beach has good water quality, enviromental management, accessibility and rescue services. The flag has been awaded to the El Jablillo beach which is in the resort center next to Las Cucharas

The council of Yaiza, in the south of the island has a blue flag for Playa Blanca beach. Lanzarote adds one more blue flag, Thus, Lanzarote adds six blue flags to its collection
