Needless to say today is a bright sunny day! Having said that the weekend has been been a wet one. It does happen and when the rain does decide to fall on Lanzarote it does it with determination. We are approaching the months where it is more likely to happen with October, November, December, January, February. The first fall is normally one to remember as through the summer the drains have been left to fill with dirt and dust and not been cleaned through, so as the rain is falling its also cumming up through the drains causing havoc in the roads.
To be honest this sunny island is just not equipped for downpours, I suppose you can compare it to snow in the UK. On the plus side, bad weather does not last for long and and there can be a complete contrast sometimes within an hour!
