If you are staying in Puerto del Carmen or Puerto Calero there is a nice cliff top walk between the resorts that takes you over the Barranco de Qiquiere. A few years a go some money was spent on the pathway repairing steps and putting in benches so that you can take rest stops and admire the views.
It takes me approximate 45 minutes walk each way and there is some rough ground and a very steep set of steps halfway, and a little urbanisation of houses. I
ts a good idea to take some water with you as it is across country. The views across to Fuerteventura and of the coastline are stunning. there are a couple of stone beaches and steps down to rocky areas where people sun bathe and the stronger swimmers bathe in the sea.
