When visiting the volcano at Montanas del Fuego ( Timanfaya) it is important to now take into consideration the following changes. From the 15th June all tickets must be bought online prior to arriving and there are now allocated time slots to choose. This is with the intention of avoiding the very long unpleasant queues of traffic that can arise with exceptionally long waiting times, especially during peak holiday seasons.
The process is simple:
Select the day of your visit.
Check the available time slots.
Choose your preferred entry time.
Arrive at the ticket office 15 minutes before your selected time to validate your ticket.

What’s included
The Volcano Route — A guided tour aboard the official Park bus. Departing from Islote del Hilario, you will travel through a lunar landscape of solidified lava fields, volcanic cones and craters while learning about the geological history of Lanzarote. Approximate duration: 35 minutes.
Geothermal demonstrations — At Islote del Hilario you can witness first-hand how the underground heat powers a steam geyser and is used to cook food using the earth’s natural warmth.
